Wednesday 8 March 2017 PP334 - A Theme Challenge from Sandy Today I'm joining in with The Paper Players challenge of "Cut it Out!". With such a wide open challenge there are so many possibilities. As it's my youngest daughter's birthday in just over a week I decided it would be a great idea to make her card (instead of leaving it until the last minute)! And here it is - The Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper has been one of my favourite DSP's from this catalogue. I'm definitely a #loveitchopit person - no use having it and not using it! I've managed to cover the three types of cutting mentioned - dies, punches and fussy-cutting. The circles are from the Layering Circles Framelits, the Wish from Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, the banner from the Banner Triple Punch and the strawberries are fussy cut. And I couldn't leave the insert bare! I always feel I've got Teneale Williams looking over my shoulder making...

CTC 118 - Cool Treats
Monday 6 March 2017 CASEing the Catty is a fabulous idea as there are so many wonderful ideas in the Catalogues to either copy exactly or to put your own spin on. This week's CASE is inspired by the Cool Treats section, pages 32-45 of the 2017 Occasions Catalogue. I chose to CASE the thank you card on the left from page 34 of the catalogue. The ice creams in the circle with the sentiment have been fussy cut from the Specialty Paper from the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is from the Suite Sentiments stamp set and has been coloured in Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party to match the DSP. On the words best and sweet, and on the ice creams I've used glue from the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to give them extra shine and dimension. Pop on over here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625891621049580/ on facebook to get some fabulous inspiration. See you tomorrow

TGIF Chick!
Saturday 4 March 2017 The colours in this week's TGIF Challenge work perfectly with the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack as they have 3 of the 6 colours in this gorgeous paper. As I love this paper and it was sitting out on my desk it was a great place to begin. I teamed the DSP with the Hey, Chick stamp set although I made my own version of one of the sentiments using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. I stamped the chicken onto Watercolour Paper and coloured it in using So Saffron Ink and an Aqua Pen. The square framelit from the "Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies" set makes a perfect frame and the Thick Baker's Twine in Calypso Coral ties a lovely bow. I decorated the insert with a strip of the DSP edged in Calypso Coral, added a couple of co-ordinating enamel dots and stamped the sentiment. If you'd like more inspiration using these gorgeous colours pop on over to t...

With Sympathy - Serene Scenery!
Friday 3 March 2017 Yay it's Friday and the weekend is nearly here! We've had some amazing weather lately and it looks like it's here for a few more days - thankfully for the weekend at least! Here are a couple of cards I made this morning using the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. Once I had my design they were quick and easy to make and as this DSP has beautiful photographic images I didn't want to cover them up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.

Thank You Sale-A-Bration!
Thursday 2 March 2017 Today I'm showcasing the "So Very Much" Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I love this font - it's just so elegant. Which is why I didn't want to overshadow it with a fussy layout or colour scheme. There are four little sentiments to go with the Thank You - FOR THE GIFT, FROM ALL OF US, FOR YOUR KINDNESS and the one I used on the inside SO VERY MUCH. The Sprinkles Embellishments are from the Cool Treats Suite in the Occasions Catalogue and finish off my monochromatic card! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ If you'd like to get this stamp set there are three ways:- SHOP - for every $110 NZD you spend (before shipping), you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product. That means it’s the perfect time to purchase those products you’ve had your eye on while earning more products for free. HOST - Need another excuse to get together with friends? Host a qualifying party with at least $450 NZD in sales during Sal...

CASEing the Catty #117 Sale-A-Bration
Wednesday 1 March 2017 Hi Everyone today I'm participating in a challenge I haven't tried before, it's called "CASEing the Catty" and the idea this week is to share a project that was inspired in some way by pages 12-15 of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. For my inspiration I chose this image on page 12 - And here's my card - I kept the colours the same using the little bird from the Made with Love stamp set. The sentiment is also from this set. For my card base I used a Note Card which measures 12.7 x 8.9 cm. I love using the Note Cards as sometimes a small card is just what's needed. This was a great challenge and I'm keen to make a few more cards in this style using all the little images in my stamp sets. Thanks for stopping by today.

Pink Ink!
Tuesday 28 February 2017 When I saw this challenge I knew immediately what I wanted to do! Firstly break out my new Stampin' Up!® Watercolor Pencils and secondly use them on the elephant in the Lucky Elephant stamp set. My pink ombre elephant makes a perfect baby card with the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper on a layout I used for one of my cards at the display at On Stage in Brisbane. Here's a quick and easy tutorial on how I created my ombre elephant: Using the Melon Mambo pencil, colour onto the Shimmery White Cardstock graduating the colour from light to dark. Blend the colour together with an Aqua Painter and leave to dry. Edge the elephant with the Melon Mambo marker pen. Stamp it on the pink ombre background. A video on my technique is available on my facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/StampingBeautyStampinUp/ . And of course a card isn't complete without the inside dec...

Global Design Project #GDP076 - Thanks Kylie Bertucci!
Monday 27 February 2017 Yes it's Monday again and time for another Global Design Project challenge! This week's challenge is CASEing a card from the immensely talented, supportive and kind Kylie Bertucci. When you CASE (Copy and Share Everything) a card, you choose the elements you like from the designer’s card. It can be the layout, colour scheme or theme. For my card I chose to CASE the layout. The pineapple is from the Pop of Paradise stamp set and the words are from Cottage Greetings. Both of these sets have great images and sentiments. I started by stamping my pineapples in Peekaboo Peach, then I used both Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo, then Flirty Flamingo with Sweet Sugarplum and finally just Sweet Sugarplum. Each time I used two colours I inked the stamp with the lighter colour all over then just inked the top of the pineapple with the darker colour. The co-ordinating In Colour E...
