Friday 6 October 2017 Hello and welcome to my blog - thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a great day and looking forward to the weekend! It's a Theme Challenge this week over at the Global Design Project and this is what I've created for it! This card is for a very kind and caring fellow Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator who sent me a very pretty card with the most beautiful message inside. There's something about going out to the letterbox to find a hand-addressed envelope from the other side of the world with a heart-felt message - it really does bring tears to yours eyes. (I'm not mentioning names as I'd like it to be a surprise when she receives it!) I also find it helpful to create a card with someone in mind when I'm taking part in a challenge as it adds a personal touch and helps me bring the colours and design together. The background DSP is from the Petal Garden DSP stack. I cut out t...

Carols of Christmas: Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop
Tuesday 3 October 2017 Welcome to our Tutorial Bundle Design Team Blog Hop for October. I'm really loving being part of this fabulous group of 12 demonstrators from around the world who create an amazing bundle of tutorials using products each month. This month our tutorials have been created using products from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue. Each month I will be hopping with these talented Stampin' Up!® designers and we will be showcasing a project using the same bundle as in our tutorial. The tutorials are based on current products available in the Stampin' Up! catalogues and have both metric and imperial measurements so wherever you are in the world you can purchase and create these exclusive projects. The Tutorial Bundle is $20NZ or place an order over $50NZ this month with me to receive this month's tutorial for free. In my card today I've used the same Carols of Christmas Bundle that...

Global Design Project 106 | Sketch Challenge
Friday 29 September 2017 Hello and welcome to my blog - thanks so much for stopping by! My card today is for the latest challenge over at the Global Design Project. This week's challenge is a Sketch challenge. Sketch challenges are my favourite and I particularly like this layout - I'll definitely be adding it to my Sketch Layout File! I made this card with a very special person in mind. She has been coming to me as a beauty therapy client for a number of years and we have become great friends. Her joie de vivre is such an inspiration and I'm in awe of her wisdom and kindness. Here's what I used for my card - the gorgeous background paper in Soft Sky is from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper and it goes perfectly with Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy. The "80" is lighter as I stamped it off first. The "80" and "Happy Birthday" are both from the Number of Years stamp set. ...

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop
Thursday 28 September 2017 Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop for September. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The theme this month is Wedding/Anniversary. Please hop around the list at the bottom to check out all the wonderful projects created this month. The Cheers to the Year stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue is perfect for a wedding card especially when teamed with the co-ordinating Year of Cheer Specialty DSP. The White Embossing Paste design makes a great backdrop for all the silver embellishments. The silver embellishments consist of Mini Sequin Trim, Foil Sheets, Metallic Thread, Embossing Powder and a Faceted Gem. The heart comes from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. "And so your story begins" also from the Cheers to the Year stamp set is embossed in Silver, and a strip of Year of Cheer Specialty DSP and Silver Foil decorate the inside of my card. ...

CASEing the Catty #147 Christmas Around the World
Sunday 24 September 2017 Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today my card is from the Christmas Around the World section (pages 28-35) of the Holiday Catalogue. You may be starting here or hopping over from Alisa Tilsner . The next button at the bottom of the post will take you around the hop - you won't want to miss any! I've CASED both these cute little cards - I'm in a mini card making phase at the moment! It's because I love the new Mini Pizza Boxes and any excuse to make cards to go in then. Both cards have been made using the "Cheers to the Year" stamp set. I stamped the tiny stars in Pool Party onto a Pool Party card base, then white embossed the "sparkly" image onto Basic Grey cardstock. Season's Greetings is stamped in Night of Navy on a 3.5cm circle and layered on top of the Basic Grey 5.5cm circle with Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and Silver Mini Sequin Trim s...

Global Design Project 105 | Colour Challenge
Monday 18 September 2017 I am so excited to be the Guest Designer on the Global Design Project for this week's Colour Challenge. It was such an honour to have my card picked. These are this week's colours: I was so pleased when I saw these colours as so they're lovely!!! And here's my card using this week's gorgeous colours - Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango and Lemon Lime Twist. The moment I saw the colours I thought of the Lemon Zest stamp set - it's my new favourite! The Lemon Lime Twist DSP on the base of my card is from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack - it looks so fresh and clean. I stamped the image with Peekaboo Peach first then rolled the edges on the Tangerine Tango stamp pad. The leaves have been stamped with Lemon Lime Twist. The banner is made using the Banner Triple Punch and then embossed with the Polka Dot Basics folder. A piece of Basic Black t...

CASEing the Catty #146 Season of Glitz
Sunday 17 September 2017 Welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Today my card is from the Season of Glitz section (pages 20-27) of the new Holiday Catalogue. You may be starting here or hopping over from Julia Quinn , isn't her card gorgeous? My card is CASED from the little one in the middle! I thought it would make a perfect 3" x 3" card to fit in the new Mini Pizza Boxes. I also wanted to make customer thank you cards so half my work was done I just needed to come up with a design. The Powder Pink spotted paper on the card base is from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and I've co-ordinated it with Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz. The Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White Baker's twine ties a perfect bow every time! The "thanks" stamp is from the Weather Together stamp set - I love the font! And the square is from the Stitched Shaped Framelits. Next on the blog hop is the very talented Rac...

Global Design Project 104 | CASE the Designer
Friday 15 September 2017 Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing the card I made for this week's Global Design Project #104 CASE the Designer - Allison Okamitsu. I'm lucky enough to be on the All Star Tutorial Bundle Team with Allison and she is amazing! In CASEing Allison's card I decided to follow her layout. I love the repeat stamping in the background - it makes a perfect backdrop! The Lemon Zest stamp set has some quirky sayings in gorgeous fonts and as I love lemons I had to get this set! (I could probably justify every stamp set in the catalogue!) It's my husband's birthday next month and this is the perfect card for him! And a little bit of the outside on the inside! Have a great weekend - yes it's Friday already here in the South Pacific!
