Tuesday 28 February 2017 When I saw this challenge I knew immediately what I wanted to do! Firstly break out my new Stampin' Up!® Watercolor Pencils and secondly use them on the elephant in the Lucky Elephant stamp set. My pink ombre elephant makes a perfect baby card with the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper on a layout I used for one of my cards at the display at On Stage in Brisbane. Here's a quick and easy tutorial on how I created my ombre elephant: Using the Melon Mambo pencil, colour onto the Shimmery White Cardstock graduating the colour from light to dark. Blend the colour together with an Aqua Painter and leave to dry. Edge the elephant with the Melon Mambo marker pen. Stamp it on the pink ombre background. A video on my technique is available on my facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/StampingBeautyStampinUp/ . And of course a card isn't complete without the inside dec...

Global Design Project #GDP076 - Thanks Kylie Bertucci!
Monday 27 February 2017 Yes it's Monday again and time for another Global Design Project challenge! This week's challenge is CASEing a card from the immensely talented, supportive and kind Kylie Bertucci. When you CASE (Copy and Share Everything) a card, you choose the elements you like from the designer’s card. It can be the layout, colour scheme or theme. For my card I chose to CASE the layout. The pineapple is from the Pop of Paradise stamp set and the words are from Cottage Greetings. Both of these sets have great images and sentiments. I started by stamping my pineapples in Peekaboo Peach, then I used both Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo, then Flirty Flamingo with Sweet Sugarplum and finally just Sweet Sugarplum. Each time I used two colours I inked the stamp with the lighter colour all over then just inked the top of the pineapple with the darker colour. The co-ordinating In Colour E...

Celebrate Colour INKspiration Challenge C104!
Sunday 26 February 2017 Hello and welcome to my entry for the fourth Colour INKspiration Challenge. To say this challenge put me out of my comfort zone is an understatement. I've hardly ever used these colours, let alone together! But I wasn't about to let that stop me! Once again I used my "Beautiful You" stamp set. I decided to recreate a card I had made for a crafting afternoon yesterday using the challenge colours. The Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper includes Delightful Dijon in its colours so this piece made the perfect background. This is the card I demonstrated at the crafting afternoon. The image of this gorgeous girl is elegant in any colour! And the double-sided Lace Doilies - one side Whisper White and the other Very Vanilla worked perfectly with both these cards. A strip of the Urban Underground DSP edged with Elegant Eggplant cardstock finishes off the insert. And here are both cards together. Please le...

Hey, Chick
Global Design Project 075 | Theme Challenge This week's theme challenge for the Global Design Project is "Winged Creatures" and I decided to use my "Hey, Chick" stamp set which is a set you can get FREE during Sale-A-Bration. The chickens in this set are so funky you can do pretty much anything you like with them so for today's card I used the Stampin' Emboss Powder Copper and teamed it with the Copper Foil Sheets. The Copper Foil looks amazing embossed with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I embossed a piece of Basic Black cardstock around the edge with the Copper Embossing Powder to give it a lift from the Basic Black base and I also embossed a wooden heart from the Sending Love Embellishments. It's super cute set and to think you can earn this FREE during Sale-A-Bration! SHOP - for every $110 NZD you spend (before shipping), you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration...

It's Time to Party!
Colour INKspiration Challenge No. 3 I love how these colours make me feel - they remind me of my childhood with my cousins - endless days playing on Sumner beach only going home when we got hungry or it started to get dark! With all the time our children spend on technology these days I wonder what their memories will be? Despite the "beachy" feel of the challenge colours my card is anything but! Aren't these monsters adorable? Okay that does sound like such a contradiction but I think they are soooooo cute! I used four stamp sets for this card - "Yummy in My Tummy", "Confetti Celebration", "Party with Cake" and "Labeler Alphabet". I coloured the monsters in using the Aqua Pen and ink from the Stamp Pads. The "It's Time to Party" sentiment comes from two stamp sets. "It's Time to" comes from "Party with Cake" and the "Party" comes from "Confe...
Global Design Project 074 | Sketch Challenge I just love this sketch - it's definitely going into my sketch folder. Once again I've used the Beautiful You stamp set - it's an absolute favourite. And if my card looks small it's because I've made it the same size as the Note Cards which is 12.7 x 8.9 cm. The DSP is from the Cupcakes & Carousels Stack and I've co-ordinated with Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach and Very Vanilla Cardstock. The embellishments are from the Falling in Love Suite - a Lace Doily with the Very Vanilla side up and the Very Vanilla 6.4mm Satin Ribbon, and I've added a Pearl Basic Jewel to finish it off. Enjoy your weekend and see you again soon

Brighter Days!
Thanks for coming to my blog today! I am among Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do that here - http://bit.ly/KyliesFebHighlights . The theme for this highlight is "Get Well Soon", which is a wonderful way to cheer someone up when they are feeling down. The sentiments in the Beautiful You stamp set are perfect as they are positive and uplifting, and the fonts are gorgeous. I teamed one of the gorgeous girls from the Beautiful You stamp set with the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper. I picked out Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand from the DSP to stamp the image and sentiment. The Pearls add balance and a little bling! I hope this card manages to make the person I'm sending it to feel better! Thank you for vi...

Have a Happy Day Chick!
Global Design Project - Colour Challenge #GDP073 Yay for Saturday! After a busy week it's nice to take things a bit slower and enjoy the lovely weather we are expecting this weekend. But before I head outside I wanted to finally share my card for this week's Global Design Project. I found these colours very challenging so it's taken me all week to come up with a card but I'm happy with the result. I love this Hey, Chick stamp set - one of the FREE sets available in the current Sale-A-Bration brochure with any purchase over $110 (before shipping and handling). This crazy chick reminds me of a "Drinking Bird" (similar to the one below) that sat on the kitchen window sill when I was little. I'm off to enjoy the weather - it may even be hot enough for a swim in the pool! Autumn will soon be here so we need to make the most of these lovely days. Enjoy your weekend -

Happy Birthday Chick!
How cute is this chicken! And there are two more chickens and an egg in this Sale-A-Bration "Hey, Chick" stamp set. The Happy Birthday stamp is from the Party With Cake stamp set and I've used the Urban Underground Speciality DSP as I wanted to make it a masculine card. I love that you can colour them traditionally or unusually as I've done. My chicken is Delightful Dijon to match the DSP, the head and tail feathers are Cucumber Crush and his beak and feet are Cajun Craze. I'm looking forward to making some more crazy cards with this cute set - FREE during Sale-A-Bration. (All the details on how to get this stamp set for free are listed below.) SHOP - for every $110 NZD you spend (before shipping), you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product. That means it’s the perfect time to purchase those products you’ve had your eye on while earning more products for free. HOST - Need another excuse to get together with friends? Home Sweet Home!
Hello and welcome! The challenge this week at Global Design Project is Case the Designer and the card we are casing was made by the very talented Krista Frattin. Her cards are always so gorgeous. *CASE = Copy and Share Everything and the idea is to be inspired by the colours, the layout or the theme of the designers card, it's up to you! For my card I choose the layout as my inspiration combining the Carried Away Designer Series Paper from the latest Sale-A-Bration brochure with stamps from the Every Occasion and Labeler Alphabet stamp sets. The "sweet" is a framelit from Cupcakes Cutouts. The "sweet" is made up of three layers glued on top of each other - one layer just looked a little flat! The Fine-Tip Glue Pen is perfect for gluing small areas. My friend has just started in Real Estate and wants me to make a selection of cards to give to her clients when they purchase a home from her - I hope she likes this one!
