Welcome to the Ink It! Stamp It! Blog Hop. This month we are sharing projects that are kids/male inspired. You may have arrived here from my lovely team member Kirsten, if you're hopping along already. If you started here, welcome and please make sure to visit all the Design Team's blogs, the full line up below will guide you through all the projects.   Have you got the Come Sail Away Suite? This Suite makes it so easy to create gorgeous male cards.   For this card I've used the Note Card from the Note Cards & Envelopes pack as a guide but cut it to open up so I could tie the twine around it. These make a great sized card and means you don't have to write too much inside!!!   I covered the front with the striped designer series paper, Come Sale Away and layered a couple of strips of the different patterns. The twine has been wrapped around and tied at the side with one of the cute anchors from the Sail Away Trinkets.     The next layer is a

Hello and welcome to this month's Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The complete list at the bottom will guide you through all the inspirational projects the team has to share.     This month our theme is "Focus on Tools" and I've chosen a couple of my favourite tools to create my cards using the gorgeous new Bloom and Grow Bundle.     Heat embossing was one of the first things I was introduced to when I started making cards and I still love it. The flowers have been embossed using the Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and this creates a great edge to keep your water colouring inside. The Stampin' Up!® Heat Tool has two settings, one for drying ink and one for heat-setting powder so it's quick and easy to use!     Water colouring is another favourite and the Aqua Painters are the perfect tool for this. I love how they hold their own water! For each of these c

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I’m excited to be featured on the Stampin' Up!® Corporate Blog sharing cards I've created using the Come Sail Away Suite (#152175). I love the whole nautical theme, it’s very fresh and clean, and totally my favourite crafting style!   This Suite makes creating those perfectly co-ordinated masculine projects from cards to memory-keeping pages fun and easy! The laser-cut specialty card with the rope design from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack (#149552) created the perfect background for my Note Cards (#131527). I lay the laser-cut card on my piece of Whisper White Cardstock (#106549), which I had die cut using the Stitched Rectangles (#148551) and smothered it with Embossing Paste (#141979). To create a bolder background, I added a few drops of Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Ink (#103033) to the Embossing Paste and again used the laser-cut card as a mask. I used the remaining paste on two more

Welcome to the Artisan Design Team's June Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid in Christchurch, New Zealand. Thanks for hopping along with us as we share our inspirational projects featuring products from the Come Sail Away Suite.     This Suite had me at "Night of Navy" - I just love blue! With it's stunning stripes and cute images of lighthouses and yachts this paper is perfect for male cards!     The dies in the co-ordinating Smooth Sailing Dies set can be used with the Sailing Home Stamp Set or alone to create these great layering pieces.      And add a cute little trinket from the Sail Away Trinkets to step it up a notch or two!   The Night of Navy and Sahara Sand Baker's Twine adds a rope look to add to the authentic sailing theme!   I've even coloured the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend to make them a little more "manly" and to co-ordinate with the Co

Hello and welcome to my blog. My card today is for the latest TGIF - Colour Challenge and I just love the colours!   In fact I love them soooo much I created two cards - one masculine and one feminine!   My masculine card uses products in the Come Sail Away Suite - from the Sailing Home Stamp Set and co-ordinating dies to stickers from the Memories & More Card Pack. To bring Pool Party into the mix I've water-washed the background of each of the Stitched Shape Squares which have been die cut using Shimmery White Cardstock. And for my feminine card I've used the gorgeous Bloom & Grow Stamp Set and co-ordinating Budding Blooms Dies. These flowers look great in Pool Party teamed with the leaves in Granny Apple Green and the Night of Navy accessories. The Clear Rhinestones have been coloured using the Dark Night of Navy Blends to co-ordinate with everything! And if you are wondering how I created the frame around the sentiment - I used the
