INK & INSPIRATION - HALLOWEEN/FALL BLOG HOP

Hello and welcome to this month's Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Angela Meiritz-Reid from Christchurch, New Zealand. The complete list at the bottom will guide you through all the inspirational projects created by the team.   The theme this month is Halloween/Fall.     I chose Halloween because I love the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Catalogue! The super-cute images on the paper make them perfect to fussy cut and add to any project.     The witch, cauldron and cat are all images from the Designer Series Paper with the "Trick or Treat" sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. The water colouring at the back uses Pumpkin Pie ink and I've added some splattering using an Aqua Painter and ink. It's such a great technique, you just dip the Aqua Painter into the ink and flick it backwards and forwards over the lid onto the paper!     A Clear Tiny Treat Box has been filled wi

INK IT! STAMP IT! BLOG HOP - SHARE A TECHNIQUE

Welcome to the Ink It! Stamp It! Blog Hop. This month we are sharing techniques. You may have arrived here from seeing the lovely and talented Sandi MacIver's project if you're hopping along already. If you started here, welcome and please make sure to visit all the Design Team's blogs, the full line up below will guide you through all the projects.   If you are thinking this looks familiar then yes it does! I've used the same colours and a floral theme as I did for my card yesterday. I loved the colour combination so decided to use it again!   I've used several techniques on my card:  the Coastal Cabana layer has been embossed using the Subtle 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder; the Shimmery White Cardstock has the stitched/cross die from the Stitched Labels Framelits  embossed/cut on it; I've watercoloured over the stitching using Coastal Cabana and Lemon Lime Twist; the flower has been cut in Shimmery White Cardstock from t

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #160 | CASE THE DESIGNER

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Global Design Project Case the Designer Challenge.  I love Krista's style, she certainly knows how to put everything together perfectly! I started off with my card portrait but as I put my elements together it worked better horizontally! Otherwise I've kept the layout the same.   Healing Hugs is a favourite stamp set, beautiful images and great sentiments in lovely fonts. And the Distinktive style creates stunning images with just a single "stamp" on the ink pad!   The Coastal Cabana mat has been embossed with the Subtle 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Just as the name suggests, it creates a subtle texture, sometimes that's all you need.     Under a couple of strips of the Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper from the Brights Collection I've stamped the little crosses in Lemon Lime Twist to co-ordinate with the leaves.   The flower

OSAT BLOG HOP | GHOULS, GOBLINS AND GOURDS

Today I'm sharing my projects for the OSAT Blog Hop! This month our theme is Halloween. New Zealand is getting into Halloween a lot more now so I need to be ready with some tricks and treats when the neighbourhood children stop by!     The Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Catalogue is perfect for creating Halloween themed projects.     The hat has been fussy cut from the Toil and Trouble DSP and the only stamping is "Trick or Treat" from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set.     How cute is this little box? It measures 3.5cm square and is perfect for a few jelly beans! I fussy cut some extra bats, coated them with Fine-Tip Glue to create a shine and adhered them with dimensionals. The little Highland Heather circles are made using the Handheld Circle punch and they are also coated with Fine-Tip Glue.   I hope you have enjoyed my projects today! Please use the links below to continue on the hop with us. There'll be lots

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #158 | 'TIS THE SEASON CARD

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Global Design Project Sketch Challenge. Sketch challenges are definitely my favourite and I really like this one!    With Christmas only 79 days away (yes I Googled that!) I need to get organised and making Christmas cards is top of my list!   The gorgeous Poinsettia image is from the Timeless Tidings stamp set. I've watercoloured it in Poppy Parade and I raised the middle bracts (leaves) with Dimensionals. The spotted paper is from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper - it's so bright and fresh!     To create the tiny flowers in the middle I dipped my blender pen in Versamark ink then sprinkled them with Gold Emboss Powder and heat set it. The wavy lines underneath are from the Artisan Textures stamp set and have also been embossed in gold.   For more inspiration using this great sketch pop over to the Global Design Project .   Thanks for stopping by a
