BE INSPIRED | A LAYOUT THAT ALWAYS WORKS

The Be Inspired Design Team is hopping today, and our theme this month is "A Layout that Always Works"! I can’t wait to see the creative ideas the rest of the team has come up with. Make sure to hop around and check out all the inspiring projects shared by this talented group.

“A Layout that Always Works” — the kind of design you can return to again and again, no matter the colours, stamps, or occasion. For my project, I paired the Valley in Bloom Suite with the Eyelet Blooms Die to create a fresh, layered birthday card that feels both simple and elevated.

The structure is one I reach for often: a clean card base, a textured white panel for light and lift, a patterned strip for contrast, and a cluster of die‑cut elements to anchor the sentiment. It’s reliable, adaptable, and easy to customise.

The Valley in Bloom Suite brings soft florals and gentle detail, while the Eyelet Blooms Die adds crisp shapes that layer beautifully. A mix of white and black keeps the palette modern, and the die-cut background adds quiet interest without overwhelming the design. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment sits on a narrow black label for a sharp finishing touch.

It’s a layout that works with almost anything — change the colours, swap the Designer Series Paper, or switch the sentiment and you have a completely different look with the same dependable foundation.
