BE INSPIRED | WOW CARDS MADE SIMPLE

The Be Inspired Design Team is hopping today, and this month's theme is "WOW Cards Made Simple"! I can’t wait to see the creative ideas the rest of the team has come up with. Make sure to hop around and check out all the inspiring projects shared by this talented group.

For my project, I created two cards using the beautiful Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper. The card on the left is my "simple" version, while the card on the right is the stepped-up version, showing how a few extra techniques can add more detail and dimension without changing the overall design.

The simple card features three circles die cut directly from the Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper and arranged over a panel embossed with the gorgeous new Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder, available in the new catalogue launching next week. A sentiment from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack finishes the card, along with some linen thread and a few embellishments.

To step the design up, I kept the same basic layout but added several extra details. Instead of leaving the circles as patterned paper, I used the die-cut the floral images from the Designer Series Paper and layered them over circles that had been softly blended with Balmy Blue Ink. The added ink blending creates a subtle background that helps the floral elements stand out beautifully.

I also coloured the die-cut images and added a touch of Wink of Stella for some delicate sparkle. These extra elements give the card more dimension and create a stronger focal point while still maintaining the clean and simple design of the original card.

I love how both cards showcase the versatility of the Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper. The simple version is perfect when you need a quick card, while the stepped-up version adds those special finishing touches for when you want something a little more detailed and eye-catching.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope these cards inspire you to look at your favourite layouts and think about how easily they can be stepped up with a few extra techniques.

Be sure to continue hopping around to see the rest of the team's amazing interpretations of our WOW Cards Made Simple theme.

Next up in today's hop is my lovely and inspirational friend Annette. I'm looking forward to seeing what gorgeous creation Annette has to share with us.
