BE INSPIRED | DIE-CUTTING SKILLS FOR EVERY STAMPER

The Be Inspired Design Team is hopping today, and our theme this month is Die-Cutting Skills for Every Stamper"! I can’t wait to see the creative ideas the rest of the team has come up with. Be sure to hop around and enjoy the wonderful inspiration shared by this talented group.

For my project, I wanted to create an elegant card with a soft, monochromatic look while letting texture and metallic accents take centre stage.

The focal image comes from the 12 Days of Creativity Advent Calendar, which included this gorgeous floral die. To add a touch of luxury, I embossed the floral image in Gold Embossing Powder before die-cutting it. Layering the gold-embossed floral piece with additional white die cuts creates depth and dimension while maintaining the clean white-on-white aesthetic.

To complement the gold embossing, I added delicate gold splatter using Winsor & Newton gold ink. These tiny flecks of gold bring movement to the design and help tie all the elements together.

The sentiment is also heat embossed in gold and layered across the centre of the floral arrangement. A simple white twine bow softens the design, while a couple of iridescent sequins and a small gold butterfly provide the finishing touches.

I love how the die-cut florals stand out against the textured striped background. My card shows how die-cutting can create an elegant focal point, especially when paired with embossing, texture and a limited colour palette.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope my card has inspired you to combine die-cutting, embossing and mixed textures on your next card creation. Keep hopping along to see what the rest of the Be Inspired Design Team has created for this month's challenge!

Next up in today's hop is my lovely and inspirational friend Annette. I'm looking forward to seeing what gorgeous creation Annette has to share with us.
